I have been doing genealogy research since 2009 and I hung out my shingle as a professional in 2013. My main focus of research is Canada and British Isles, and I am also available to give virtual instruction for budding genealogists who want to learn how to get started, or more experienced genealogists who want to learn some of the finer points of Canadian research. I am also a writer and I plan to start offering family history writing services in the future. I'm an award-winning social history writer and I write about genealogy and social history on my blog. My now out-of-print book, From Pemmican to Poutine: A Journey Through Canadan's Culinary History, won three international awards: 4th place in Best Culinary History Book in the World 2010 from Gourmand World cookbook Awards, Best Culinary Book Award 2010 from the Cordon D'Or Academy, and the Best Overall Award 2010 from the Cordon D'Or Academy. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you with your research goals!
