About Me
I have been researching since 1993. With great encouragement and support, I completed the 15-week Certificate in Genealogical Research course with Boston University in 2018. In 2019, I went on the clock with BCG and earned my Certified Genealogist credentials in June 2020. I joined the Firebird Forensics Group in 2021, but due to events of 2022, I resigned from my position. 2022 put me on the track to becoming the next president of my local genealogical society. In the past, I have presented on various genealogical topics in partnership with the Logan County Archives. I cover many topics, such as using specific records and methodologies. I have been a member of my local DAR chapter since 2012 and became the chapter Registrar in 2016 after assisting the previous registrar for more than six years. In 2020, the local SAR chapter asked me to assist their registrar, so I serve in that capacity. In 2022, I became the in-house genealogist and a tour guide for the O'Bannon House Preservation Foundation, Inc. in Russellville, Kentucky.
