About Me

My name is Monika Kilian-Buchmann, I work and live near Munich in Bavaria, Germany. After studying history, archaeology, and architectural history at the universities of Bamberg and Frankfurt/Oder, I worked at the university as a lecturer, as a museum educator and for over 10 years now as a professional genealogist for individual and corporate clients. I enjoy researching and bringing to life the life stories of my clients. My research area is mainly Southern Germany with a focus on Bavaria. My languages are German, English and Latin. Besides genealogical research from 16th to 20th century I specialize in German history since the High Middle Ages and in reading old manuscripts.
