Departmental Archives of Gard (Archives Départementales du Gard) (France)
Created under the French Revolution by the law of 5 Brumaire year V (October 26, 1796), the role of the Departmental Archives is to bring together in a single place the papers coming from the Prefecture, the General Council, the administrations, the jurisdictions of the Old Regime, those of suppressed religious establishments, emigrated or condemned families, individuals, companies and associations.
